Joan Rivers Doctor Who Performed Throat Procedure Fired

       The doctor who performed the endoscopy on Joan Rivers has been fired by the clinic's board.Sources at Yorkville Endoscopy tell us Dr. Lawrence Cohen stepped down after the board asked him to do so -- however the board isn't directly blaming him for Joan's death.A rep for the clinic confirmed he was ousted from his position as medical director.According to our sources ... the board's issue with Cohen is that he allowed Joan's ENT doc to step in and perform an unauthorized procedure. Reportedly, that procedure was a biopsy ... and Joan went into respiratory and cardiac arrest while it was being done.Cohen is a world renowned gastroenterologist ... and also co-owner of Yorkville. He's been on administrative leave since Joan's procedure on August 28.

Pistorius could compete at Rio 2016

The South African, 27, was found guilty of culpable homicide on Friday after the judge ruled he killed his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp by mistake.

Sentencing will take place on 13 October, but Pistorius could compete at Rio if he has served his sentence.

"We wouldn't stand in his way," said IPC spokesman Craig Spence.

Pistorious, nicknamed Blade Runner, won six gold medals at three Paralympic Games andmade history by becoming the first amputee sprinter to compete at the Olympics.

IPC director of media and communications Spence said that the organisation's thoughts were with the family and friends of Steenkamp.

But he said the IPC would not block Pistorius if he had served his sentence and wanted to compete at Rio.

"Providing he serves his sentence then he will be free to compete in IPC competitions going forward," Spence told BBC chief sports correspondent Dan Roan.

"Oscar would need to decide first whether he wanted to compete and then he would need to be selected by the South African National Paralympic Committee.

Gucci Mane Scores Huge Legal Win Will Get Out Of Prison A Year Early

          Gucci Mane is a happier prisoner today ... after being told he'll be leaving the big house 12 months earlier than expected.According to court docs ... after initially ruling against Gucci, an Atlanta judge has finally given the rapper the year's worth of credit for time served he's earned since his arrest for gun possession last September.His 39-month sentence was originally scheduled to begin August 2014 when the judge made his ruling ... but now that sentence will begin at the time of his arrest.The 34-year-old's been in and out of prison most of his adult life ... with prior stints for hitting a fan with a bottle and pushing a woman out of a moving car. He was even charged with murder in 2005 ... but prosecutors ultimately dropped the case.He's scheduled to be released in December 2016.

      Atlanta rapper 9gotti's got himself some brass ones -- firing off a legal threat to 3 powerful rap icons -- Kanye West, Diddy and Rick Ross -- warning them to quit jacking his music.   At issue ... a French Montana track called "Gucci Mane" -- which Kanye helped produce. Chinga Chang Records claims the song belonged to 9gotti ... before Yeezus and the others stole it from him.  The record label sent a cease and desist letter that's pretty comical ... saying the ripoff may have been a "drunken oversight." It also takes a shot at Diddy -- accusing him of being a music thief -- and says Rick Ross should know better because he's an ex-correctional officer. According to the letter ... French's song and 9gotti's tune are nearly identical. French's version hasn't been released yet ... and Chinga Chang is dead-set on making sure it never comes out.   TMZ

Buckingham Palace Kate is once again suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum, as she was when she was pregnant with her Prince George, who was born last July. The condition is like morning sickness, only more severe. The child will become fourth in line to the British throne ... behind Prince Charles, Prince William and Prince George ... and Prince Harry drops to fifth. Some guys just can't catch a break.

Rapper Rich Homie Quan got into a brawl at a boxing match Friday with a guy he claims was trying  to steal his chain -- and the fight video is pretty intense.Quan was at the Adrien Broner fight in Cincinnati when the guy allegedly tried to steal the bling with force ... the rapper started throwing punches to thwart the attack -- which he did.The video doesn't show the attempted snatch ... just lots of chaos.Police say no arrests were made.

Men wrongly convicted for rape awarded

Five men who were wrongly convicted of raping and brutally beating a jogger in New York’s Central Park 25 years ago are being awarded $41 million (£25 million) in damages.

A federal judge has approved the payment from New York City on Friday, as Mayor Bill de Blasio called the settlement an “act of justice” that was “long overdue.”

The defendants, who are all black or Hispanic, were jailed as teenagers for the attack on a white woman and served 13 years in prison before their convictions were thrown out in 2002.

Their representatives argued that treatment of the case had racial undertones amid paranoia about the American city’s crime rate and the men’s initial admissions were the result of exhaustion and police coercion following lengthy interrogations.

They were eventually exonerated when Matias Reyes, a serial rapist and murderer, confessed in 2002 after DNA testing linked him to the scene.

Korey Wise, who at 16 was the oldest defendant at the time, served 13 years and will receive $12.25 million (£7.5 million) in the settlement that was first rumored in June.    

The other four – Antron McCray, Kevin Richardson, Raymond Santana and Yusef Salaam – will be paid $7.1 million each (£4.3 million), roughly $1 million for each year of spent in jail.

GRL singer Simone Battle dies at 25

Law enforcement sources report Simone's death appears to be a suicide. She was found hanging on a rod in the closet of her bedroom around 8:30 AM on Friday.Singer Simone Battle, who rose to fame on the US version of "X Factor" ... was found dead in her LA home ... and it was reported that it appears to be a suicide.25-year-old Battle was a singer in the girl group "GRL" ... which was the reboot of the Pussycat Dolls. She signed on with the group after her run on "X Factor" ... where she was a finalist, making it into the top 17.The L.A. County Cororner's Office tells us Battle's autopsy has not been completed yet ... so, nothing has been ruled out as cause of death.Simone's father told us she was found in the bedroom of her apartment in a West Hollywood neighborhood. He described her home as a guest house of a larger residence. Story developing ... In June, TMZ shot video of Simone and her 'GRL' bandmate Natasha Slayton. They were excited about their song "Wild Wild Love" with Pitbull.

According to UNICEF’s latest report, Nigeria will have the highest number of child brides by year 2050 with the way underage girls are married off.

 “In Africa, Nigeria is expected to have the largest absolute number of child brides. The country has seen a decline in child marriage of about one per cent per year over the past three decades. At this pace, the total number of child brides is expected to double by 2050,” the report stated.

 In Mauritania and Nigeria, more than half of adolescent girls aged 15 to 19, who are currently married, have husbands who are 10 or more years older than they are.

 They are often married off to considerably older men. And sadly, more than 700 million women alive today were married before their 18th birthday.

Drake earns 8 nomimations for the BET Hip Hop awards

For the first time, Drake tops nominees for the BET Hip-Hop Awards.

In a statement to The Associated Press, BET said Thursday that Drake received the most nominations with eight for the ninth annual awards show. It airs Oct. 14. Last year, the Canadian rapper and singer took home four awards, including the People's Champ Award.

Outrageous!!!!!! Chris Tuckers Tax Climbs To $14 million

Chris tucker's tax troubles continue to get worse. The actor and comedian has been slapped with a new $2.5 million fine from the IRS in addition to the $12 million he reportedly already owes the agency. The new bill brings his total to over $14 million in past due taxes.

According to TMZ, Tucker owes back taxes on a handful of years between 2001 and 2010. A rep for the actor claims he settled his debt just this past Friday.

Hopefully the Rush Hour star can keep Uncle Sam out of his pockets from now on by staying on top of his filings! This could mean, however, that we see a lot more of Tucker on the bug screen as he works to rebuild his savings.

Samsung has revealed its latest phablet, the Galaxy Note Edge. The most noticeable feature of the Note Edge is its screen, which is curved on one side. The Galaxy Note Edge's unique curved touchscreen that provides quick access to frequently used apps, alerts and device functionality. As it pops out of the phone it can even be used when the cover is closed. The curved screen can also display notifications at the top and bottom while viewing a video without disruption. The right hand side of the Edge, which is curved, is where notifications and other icons appear. The Galaxy Note Edge was announced at the IFA trade show in Berlin on Wednesday, alongside the new Galaxy Note 4 phone, which lacks the side screen, and a virtual-reality headset called Gear .

Woman found beheaded in North London garden

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after officers found a woman who had reportedly been beheaded in the back garden of a home in a London suburb.

The victim was found at an address on Nightingale Road, Edmonton, north London, just after 1pm on Thursday.

Firearms officers were sent to the scene and one officer was injured, suffering a broken wrist, during the detention of a 25-year-old man.

The Metropolitan police said officers had fired a Taser, which directs an electric current at a suspect police want to subdue, during the incident.

Police said they were called at 1.07pm to reports of a man armed with a knife. "On arrival officers found a woman, no further details at this stage, collapsed in a garden area. She was pronounced dead at the scene."

Officers were still trying to locate all the woman's next of kin and would not confirm the injuries suffered or the weapon or weapons used to inflict them.

Paramedics called to the scene immediately realised the victim was dead, such was the severity of her wounds. London ambulance service had dispatched the air ambulance to the scene in the hope that her life could be saved.

"Versace" rappers Migos got into an all-out battle royale at one of their shows ... where all 3 members of the group ended up going loco on their fans.The melee started Sunday night at LimeLight nightclub in Nashville -- when according to sources ... one member of the group had a gold chain snatched from his neck while on stage, and immediately went after it in the crowd.It's pretty wild fight video -- bodies pile up on the floor as the whole thing plays out.Police were called, but LimeLight security was eventually able to contain things and no arrests were made.Of course, this isn't the first time the Migos have been involved in an attack on tour ... having nearly escaped death following a drive-by shooting in Miami earlier this year.Migos definitely love a good "Fight Night."

The recently leaked private images of Jennifer Lawrence and Kate Upton, among others, are set to be printed onto life-sized canvases and exhibited at an upcoming event held in Los Angeles.

Cory Allen Contemporary Art (CACA) has announced that the works will be among the new additions to artist XVALA’s "Fear Google" concept.
They are set to be displayed at his upcoming exhibition, named "No Delete", at the CACA's space The Showroom in Saint Petersburg, Florida.
The artist’s publicist, Cory Allen, said in a statement: "XVALA appropriating celebrity compromised images and the overall 'Fear Google' campaign has helped strengthen the ongoing debate over privacy in the digital era.
"The commentary behind this show is a reflection of who we are today. We all become ‘users' and in the end, we become 'used.'"
The personal photos, which will remain unaltered, will sit alongside other images of celebrities XVALA has collected from Google over the last seven years. In particular, it features those who have had their privacy compromised by the internet or by paparazzi.
